Round 7 Preview: Firebirds vs Fever
May 1st 2010 12:26
After a 21-goal victory over the 2009 Premiers the Melbourne Vixens last weekend, the Queensland Firebirds should be beaming with confidence and able to defeat the West Coast Fever in similar style.
After a much-improved season last year, the West Coast Fever are really struggling this year, with only one win and five losses.
They will need their shooter Caitlin Bassett, who was benched last week in their 20-goal loss to the Adelaide Thunderbirds, to improve her shooting accuracy.
Madison Browne, Shae Bolton, Jo Curran and Susan Fuhrmann will also need to start playing the quality netball that they are capable of putting out on court if they have any chance of stopping the Firebirds' impressive winning streak.
