Round 5 Result: Does Pulse have a future?

April 17th 2010 04:43
People were left asking questions as to the future of the Pulse team after they were defeated by 35 goals in round five action of the ANZ Championship today.
Even the captain Jane Altschwager said after the match that no team in the ANZ Championship should lose by such a big margin.
Commentators were suggesting maybe New Zealand could have four teams in the ANZ Championship compared to Australia's five.
The Adelaide Thunderbirds dominated the entire match and were able to give bench players an opportunity to take the court in the onslaught.
Shooter Carla Borrego was sensational, shooting an amazing 58 goals from 59 attempts.

Kate Beveridge also had a great game as did defenders Geva Mentor and Mo’onia Gerrard.
The final score was 75-40. This being the highest ANZ Championship score in history.
