Round 4 Result: Go Vixens!
April 12th 2010 10:45
The mighty Melbourne Vixens showed just what one quarter of quality netball can do to their opposition.
With quality players like Julie Corletto, Natasha Chokljat and Chelsey Nash out of the Vixens line-up this week due to injuries, it only took the Melbourne team the first quarter to find their winning rhythm.
It was 15-all at first quarter time before the Vixens stepped up to an impressive 35-24 half time score against the Canterbury Tactix in New Zealand.
All the Vixens needed to do for the rest of the game was go goal for goal, which they did, with a final score of 64-49.
This gives Australia a massive margin against New Zealand in the Rivalry Round, with only the Queensland Firebirds/Northern Mystics game left.
The most impressive player on court in the Vixens/Tactix game was co-captain Sharelle McMahon with her speed and accuracy so dominant.
