Round 4 Result: Australia kicks butt in the Rivalry Round with Thunderbirds big win

In the final quarter of today's match against the Southern Steel, the Adelaide Thunderbirds started to show some of their brilliant form from last year, beating Steel 53-36.
It was a very close game for the first three quarters with the biggest margin of three separating these teams.
The 17-goal win gives Australia a handy buffer going into the fourth match of the Rivalry Round with top-placed Melbourne Vixens still yet to play.
Carla Borrego and Kate Beveridge finally started to find their range and combine well together.
Beveridge won an inugural ANZAC Day medal for her overall performance and spirit.
Defenders Geva Mentor and Mo’onia Gerrard had impressive games, putting a lot of pressure on Steel shooters Daneka Wipiiti and Megan Dehn. Wipiiti ended up being benched.
