The West Coast Fever made history tonight with a record 62-44 win over the Cantebury Tactix. The Fever's biggest winning margin was previously 11 and that was when they defeated Northern Mystics last year.
The Fever took control of the match early and continued to extend their lead in the first three quarters.
The Tactix's never-say-die attitude resulted in this New Zealand team winning the final quarter 14-12 but the damage had been done in previous quarters.
Fever's goal shooter Caitlin Bassett had an oustanding night, shooting 45 goals from 52 attempts.
