It was an obvious outcome with the Southern Steel defeating the Canterbury Tactix by a sizeable margin in Invercargill on Monday night.
What was surprising was the Tactix had the better start, taking the lead at first quarter time 13-9, which kept the Invercargill crowd surprisingly quiet.
In the last three quarters, the Steel finally started to play the netball that they have been playing in recent weeks to remain in the top four.
The final score was Steel 53, Tactix 39.
