Round 11 Preview: Magic vs Firebirds
May 28th 2010 12:01
The Waikato/Bay of Plenty Magic vs Queensland Firebirds clash will be an interesting game to watch.
Both teams have plenty at stake. The Queensland Firebirds must win every game now to have any chance of making the finals series. With a new coach and new players like Australian Diamond Natalie Medhurst, 2010 was meant to be the year that the Queensland team contest the finals for the first time. The Magic are coming off a shock loss to the Southern Steel last weekend and have two tough matches coming up in coming weeks against the undefeated NSW Swifts and thrid placed Adelaide Thunderbirds.
If the Magic lose to the Firebirds, they have a real chance of being kicked out of second position and in upcoming matches, maybe out of the top four. Only the top two teams have two chances to make the 2010 ANZ Championship final and only the top four moves onto the finals series.
Both teams are capable of the win, who will have the guts and determination to take it?
It is set to be another thriller in ANZ Championship history.
