Round 1: Tactix vs Pulse
March 19th 2010 13:30
Despite big changes to the line-up of the Canterbury Tactix, they should still beat Central Pulse in Monday night netball.
The main addition to the Tactix is former Queensland Firebirds captain Peta Stephens but they have lost quality defender Sonia Mkoloma to the NSW Swifts, Jodi Brown and Kahurangi Waititi to the Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic, and Larrissa Willcox to the Northern Mystics.
Maree Bowden is the only player worth mentioning that will continue with the Canterbury side this year.
Central Pulse may be able to improve on their bottom of the ladder performances since the ANZ Championship started two years ago with the addition of a few new players. They've been able to entice Ama Abgeze (Fever 2008, Vixens 2009) and Jane Altschwager (Thunderbirds, 2009), two good players, to join the Pulse but they are not talented enough to change the fortunes of the Pulse right around, not in these early stages of the 2010 championship.
