Interesting commentary from Liz Ellis

I found comments from Liz Ellis during the NSW Swifts/Adelaide Thunderbirds clash today interesting.
Ellis said that these two teams were the top two Australian teams. How? The NSW Swifts are first on the ladder, followed by New Zealand's Magic then in third place is the Melbourne Vixens ahead of the Adelaide Thunderbirds.
The Vixens also won the premiership last year with the Swifts near the bottom of the ladder. The Vixens have only had two losses this season, both of them without their centre Natasha Chokljat whereas the Thunderbirds have lost three.
After today's game the Thunderbirds lost by a bigger margin than what the Vixens did last week. There were no major injuries to the Thunderbirds like there were to the Vixens. Now the Thunderbirds may lose their fourth spot to the Southern Steel if the Steel defeat the Northern Mystics tomorrow night.
Last weekend saw two straight losses to the Vixens, the first time in ANZ Championship history.
So how can Liz Ellis say that the NSW Swifts and Adelaide Thunderbirds are Australia's top two teams? The Swifts and the Vixens are the only teams to win a premiership in the ANZ Championship and they currently sit first and third on the ladder with a New Zealand team in second place.
In the old Commonwealth Bank trophy, it was Melbourne and Sydney who also dominated that competition.
