The Australian Netball Diamonds need our support. Unlike most other Aussie sporting teams, the Diamonds do not receive the support and coverage it deserves.
In February next year, the Diamonds will compete against Scotland and England in the lead up to the 2010 Commonwealth Games.
Only coming third in the World Netball Series, the Aussie girls will want to start 2010 off with convincing wins against Scotland and England. England proved a worthy competitor in the World Netball Series, winning all their round robin games before a disappointing final fourth position. They are also likely to want to redeem themselves and show they are capable of winning the top two teams in the world, the Australian Netball Diamonds and the New Zealand Silver Ferns.
Unfortunately, there's been no news whether Channel 10 and One will broadcast these international games in February. If it was a male sport, it would be advertised everywhere and broadcasted live for all to see.
Our netballers are true champions and deserve the support from fellow Australians. Go Diamonds!!
