In the Netball Festival of Stars in Melbourne today, the Liz Ellis' Holden Cruze National Breast Cancer Foundation team lost again to the Luke Darcy's MARS Red beyondblue team despite having champion shooter Caitlin Thwaites from the Melbourne Vixens for part of the last half.
Player of the match, Dave Hughes, scored an amazing goal from just outside the shooting circle.
Other celebrities included the actor that plays Toadie on Neighbours, former Australian netball great Shelley O'Donnell, Rebecca Twigley, James Tomkins, Lydia Lassila, Glenn Archer, and Natalie Hunter.
In typical netball style, there was plenty of bodies hitting the ground and plenty of entertainment!
Darcy's team won $12,900 for beyondblue and Ellis's side produced a $5900 win for the National Breast Cancer Foundation, with the help of Thwaites.
